The Shall We Dance committee was founded to promote interest in the development of social dance across a variety of styles and genres inclusive of dance forms prevalent in diverse cultural and ethnic platforms and timeframes.

The Shall We Dance committee has the following dates for exciting theme evenings which focuses on dancing, dancing and dancing.

1. Cruise Line Dance on September 7, 2005
Our cruise director will be in attendance to lead us in fun, games, contests and, of course, dancing. Music will be provided by the famous Alex Donner Band. Nautical theme dress would be appropriate or wear a tuxedo or ballroom gown and pretend you are at the "Captain's Table."

2. Roaring 20's Dance on December 1, 2005
The Blue Orchid Orchestra will beguile us as they weave their musical web with tunes from the 20's and 30's.To quote their website, ....The Blue Orchids are an 11-piece ensemble of young, dapper dandies in the authentic fashion of the original dance bands of the Roaring 20's. So your flapper gear would be in style this evening as would a zoot suit for those who have them. Elegant formal attire is always appropriate at this or any of our beautiful club events.

3. Oldies but Goodies Rock and Roll Night (Date to be announced)
This event will be in the first quarter of 2006 and will feature our newest club member as of today. DJ celebrity Cousin Bruce Morrow has volunteered to host our Oldies but Goodies Dance. He will not only provide the music but will entertain us with an Oldies tune trivia contest. Prizes are in the offing.
